Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between gum inflammation and periodontitis?

Gum inflammation (gingivitis) affects only the gums and is usually reversible. Periodontitis is when the bone is also inflamed and recedes — that is what we treat specifically.

Is the treatment painful?

Cleaning the gum pockets is done gently, with local anaesthesia if needed.

Why does aftercare matter so much?

Periodontitis is chronic — regular aftercare keeps the inflammation in check and the teeth stable long term.
